The first half of the design studio focused on the development of technique, handling of software, and the ability to discern quality through production of compulsory drawings of incremental geometry variations.

In the second half of the design studio, the design of related curves to suggest circulation between a retail, office, and residential project, served as the starting point for the design of a larger structure that employs a design ideal that flows throughout the project culminating in the final product. Several curve/circulation studies were executed and resulted in the primary theme of interior movement through a central aperture in the floor plates. The main circulation pattern through the building pulls visitors up through the center of the building and disperses them throughout the project to fully activate each programmatic area.
